cant adjust my dragorossi kayak?
i recently bought a dragorossi stinger. it was a tight when i bought it but with 3 more inches of adjustment i was sold seeing as how i only needed a few inches. its hard to explain the adjustment unless your familiar. there are two screws at each end of a metal bar connected to the seat. up front there are 5 holes for levels of adjustment about an inch apart each. at the back of the bar behind the seat there is a cut out groove in the metal for the screw to slid freely. i sit comfortably on the 4th hole but the groove in the back of the metal comes up short. the groove needs to be about a quarter inch longer to the inside for the screw to pop in. this really pisses me off because its false advertising. i would take out the metal slider and file the groove down or screw in a new hole up front but the metal is rivited to the seat.
anyone know of this CRAP dragorossi is pulling or is there something i need to do. it seems pretty basic and i am extremely stressed.
1. Take the boat to the dealer and have them adjust it to your needs.
2. Do not alter the parts unless the manufacturer or dealer tells you to.get it in writing.
3. Hind sight...have it fitted at the dealer.
4. Query the manufacturer.
