What are metal findings made of?
I bought a pack of cheap metal findings from Michaels...to be specific they were earring wires, but they don't say what type of metal they are. They're silver in color, made in china, and the top of the package says: Jeweley Essentials: Findings. The manufacturing company is Hirschberg Schutz & Co.

But are they silver-plated? just metal? or what should I describe them as?
If you are selling these, you can always call them "silvertone." That covers everything. You should be able to tell by looking if they are silver-plated. If you can't, they are likely not.
Findings in general are made of all sorts of metals. Some are plated brass, others are steel (plated or not) and still others are just called base metal.
