Sony Ericsson W910i White Gold is not Equivalent to Samsung G810

Friday, January 22nd, 2010
Dharmendra Chaudhary asked:

Sony is no doubt one of the best manufacturer of music phones. They have provided us with some amazing gadgets as music phones. Here is a model from Sony which is a very good Walkman phone but when compared to other some high end phones or models a little sophisticated than it, the phone fails to deliver. Sony should take care of these facts and improve so that their fans don’t get dejected.

Sony Ericsson W910i White Gold is an example of such phone. There is no complain with this phone except that the features of this mid range phone could have been improved a little more. If we compare this phone with some sophisticated model like Samsung G810, its found that Sony Ericsson W910i White Gold cannot meet the standards of the other 3G phone. Let us find out the features of Sony Ericsson W910i and then compare them with Samsung G810.

The 3G phone Sony Ericsson W910i White Gold is indeed superb performer and in fact it is a slim mobile phone with dimensions likeĀ  99X50X12.5mm and it weighs just 86 g. The quad band phone works well on all the GSM networks like 850/900/1800/1900. The phone has a 2 MP camera with flash and autofocus. You can shoot videos at the speed of 15fps and there is a secondary videocall camera. The Sony Ericsson W910i white gold is equipped with card slot for memory extension upto 2GB, has motion sensor, Java MIDP 2.0, TrackID music, – Image viewer, Organizer, and others, These features are quite impressive but Sony had to take a little care to make this phone more reliable and long lasting. A little care could have made this phone a superb piece.

Samsung G810 is also a smart phone with useful properties like 2.6 inches screen, unlimited phonebook entry, card slot, 330 MHz ARM1136 processor, GPRS, EDGE, 3G HSDPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth, USB, Operating System of Symbian OS v9.2, Series 60 rel. 3.0, messaging Email, SMS, Browser, 5 MP camera with autofocus, flash, video built-in GPS receiver, Camera images geo-tagging, FM radio, Document Viewer, TV out and others.

Thus you see that Sony Ericsson W910i fails to deliver the performance G810 is capable of of. So if you carry this phone and some one falshes g810 in front you, you naturally feel dejected.

Do You Make Your Prospects And Customers Jump Through Hoops?

Friday, January 22nd, 2010
Marty Foley asked:

Picture this: Your prospect has just learned about one of your products or services, and is now ready to buy from you. How you handle the next critical step can make or break the sale.

Always keep in mind that most consumers are understandably wary. They won’t hesitate to abandon an intended purchase if they encounter doubts or inconvenient snags in the process.

I invite you to do a bit of honest self-examination when considering the following tips, since problems in this area may be costing you dearly in lost sales, right this very minute.

Acting to improve on what you discover could very well help boost your sales immediately.

1) How Easy Is It for Your Customers to Access Information Needed to Buy From You?

a) For example, does the design of your web site make it hard to navigate, or is the information needed to complete a transaction within easy access to your customers, with minimal mouse clicks?

Poor navigation is but one of many, many different snags that hinder web site sales. Problem is, most site owners, designers, and webmasters don’t realize how much more a site could sell, if it were only more user-friendly.

b) While you may wisely reduce the amount of repetitive customer service issues by answering questions through a F.A.Q., (an acronym for Frequently Asked Questions) etc., some prospects may yet have additional questions not covered in it.

Do your prospects have a way to contact you to have such questions answered, and do you have an efficient system in place for answering them, promptly and efficiently?

Is the form of contact convenient to your prospects?

2) What Forms of Payment Do You Offer Your Customers?

a) Do you require your customers to send payment to you by check, cash or money order only via regular postal mail? If you’re selling online and not accepting credit cards, you’re likely losing many sales.

b) What types of credit cards do you accept? Virtually any type of business can increase sales by accepting payment by Visa and MasterCard.

But even businesses already accepting Visa and MasterCard may still be losing sales by not also accepting Discover and American Express, especially in the U.S.

True, Visa and MasterCard encompass the vast majority of all credit card transactions. But there are many consumers who instead prefer to use Discover or American Express.

Do you want their business? If so, your existing merchant account provider is most likely equipped to easily get you set up to accept them.

3) How Easy Do You Make It for Customers to Submit Payment?

a) Suppose that you do accept credit cards. Even though the risk of online credit card purchasing has been exaggerated, and isn’t necessarily more risky than offline transactions, many consumers are concerned about submitting their credit card data online.

With this in mind, in addition to being equipped to accept online credit card orders through a secure server, do you provide alternate ordering options for those who hesitate (or refuse) to order online by credit card?

What about options to order with check, money order, or credit card, by phone, fax, or postal mail?

b) Is your online order system simple to understand and use, even for the most inexperienced users, or are they inconvenient and confusing? How do you know?

“Shopping cart abandonment” is a term used to describe when a would-be online customer abandons, or bails out of, an online order form or shopping cart, before completing an intended purchase.

Beware that this commonly overlooked problem robs Internet merchants of billions of dollars in lost sales each year, and that the selection and design of your online order system has a major impact on your profits – for good or bad!

c) Do you work hard to eliminate guesswork for customers, provide complete order details, and guide them simply and gently through the ordering process?

Remember: Any extra hoop you require prospects and customers to jump through is an extra obstacle in the way of a sale; another reason to change their minds about buying from you.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that there’s always room for improvement – in every business in existence. So don’t feel bad when you find them in your own business. I guarantee you they exist; you just may not be aware of them yet.

Unfortunately, there’s not enough room in this article to cover all the obstacles possibly hindering your online sales, of which there are at least hundreds!

But the basic lesson behind the above tips is this: Make it as easy as possible for customers to do business with you. The easier you make it, the more likely they will.

Thursday, January 21st, 2010
michaelrussell asked:

The demand of the audio recording equipment is increasing with each passing day. Recording studio equipment can be used for recording purposes in music studios. One can buy recording studio equipments from ebay. One of the biggest advantages of purchasing the recording studio equipment on ebay is that there they are made available in abundance and with interesting discounts. Some of the important studio audio equipments include microphones, headphones and amplifiers.

Buyers must make sure that all the audio recording equipments are in proper working condition before buying. The efficiency of the cable in the audio recording equipment is assessed by the fact that it includes a copper conductor and serve shield so as to be flexible. Buyers must consider a number of factors while choosing audio recording equipment. Some of the most important considerations while choosing recording studio equipment include the price of the equipment.

Buyers must buy only an affordable recording equipment so as to utilize the recording business to the fullest. It is advisable to recheck the compatibility of the recording equipment so as to analyze if it can support and cater to your recording needs or not. One of the most premium concerns of the buyers while buying recording equipment is to check the quality of the recording equipment. The quality and functioning of the recording equipment must be double checked before buying as the buyers can not go for exchange or returns in case the recording equipments are flawed.

Another important consideration while buying recording equipment is to check your future plans. For example, if you are planning for a future in singing then recording equipments must be of high quality and should be able to deliver high quality sound with full clarity. The comfort provided by the audio recording equipments also matters the most and so the buyers must make sure that the recording equipments are easy to handle and maintain.

One must make use of the review websites so as to read the reviews of the recording equipments from varied brands. Reading reviews can be counted as one of the most effective ways to learn the pros and cons of specific recording equipment. There are a number of websites such as Amazon that present unbiased reviews of the different products including the recording equipments that have been manufactured throughout the world. The reviews can help the buyers to know if they should buy a specific recording model or not.

Panning for Gold in GA

Monday, January 18th, 2010
Hubert Crowell asked:

By: Hubert Crowell

I have estimated that when I am working the streams in North Georgia for gold, I can earn about $0.50 an hour at the current price of gold. I understand completely how hard it was for prospectors to make a living looking for gold. However, there is something exciting about finding that shiny speck of metal in the ground. The gold of North Georgia has a deep golden color and is the purest found anywhere. The thrill of that gold appearing in the bottom of a pan of black sand can be addictive. Don’t expect to get rich looking for gold, but you can easily collect some color for you home collection and maybe even a bragging nugget or two.

You may have heard the story about the man in Africa who went off looking for diamonds only to return home after many years to find a large diamond in his own back yard. My wife kept telling to check out the creek behind the house for gold, but I kept looking in the gold fields more to the north and even tried to find some out west. My best success was from buying dirt from a mine in Dahlonega which resulted in paying about what the gold was worth after panning it out.

Most of the gold in Georgia can be found along a line from Clayton in the northeast to Buchanan near the Alabama line. Along this line is Dahlonega, Canton, Allatoona, and Acworth. The gold belt is not well defined and spread out in places. We live just north of Marietta along a ridge that divides the waters of the Chattahoochee and the Etowah rivers. I like to think of it as our little continental divide. Behind our home we have a stream that flows toward the Etowah. The rock formations here are turned up on edge and at about midpoint along the back of our lot is a quartz vein that is being cut away by the stream.

I started panning for gold on the corner of the lot at the down stream end and planned to work my way up the stream and clean out all the gold I could find. On one of our trips to Colorado for a caving convention, my friend and I left a week early to pan for gold and bought a small 2 inch dredge. I set up the dredge in the creek and worked the sand all the way down to bed rock. The gold was very rough and beautiful. Nothing large just small pickers and flakes. I did fill a small locket with gold for a neckless that my wife wears and a small amount for a display case.

I have not yet worked the creek up to the quartz vein where I suspect the gold is coming from. It has not moved far in the water or the edges would be more rounded off. I guess I am saving the rest of the creek for the future.

We used to have gold panning parties when family or out of town friends would visit. They could not believe they could find real gold right there in our own back yard.

Subdivisions have taken over some of the old mines in the area. Sixes Mine in south Cherokee County produced $200,000 worth of gold in 1849 and now is part of Lake Altoona and a large subdivision. The Hadaway Mine near Acworth is also believed to have produced a sizeable amount. Ore samples from the Kemp property showed $2.50 to $7.50 worth of gold per ton of ore.

I will never get rich form panning gold, but it is nice to know that you can find gold in your own back yard. So when I get bored again I will drag out the dredge and dredge up sand for a few hours adding a few more specks of gold to my collection.

Guide To Becoming A Heavy Equipment Operator

Sunday, January 17th, 2010
Kris Koonar asked:

Most people think that the work of a heavy equipment operator is limited to operating a heavy tipping truck or a bulldozer. This is not true. There are many other heavy machinery and equipment that a heavy equipment operator requires to be proficient in operating. In addition, the job is not gender specific, and this field offers employment both to men and women. If you are able to operate large and heavy machinery, are prepared to work in a team, have adequate communication skills, and are ready to accept suggestions for improvement, you can certainly be successful in pursuing a career as a heavy equipment operator.

The job of a heavy equipment operator does not fall under any designated profession or trade. A heavy equipment operator is required to operate, maintain and adjust huge and heavy machinery used mostly in the construction industry and also in several other industries like mining, fishing, logging etc. Operators also find work at freight jobs, travel, and refuse collection routes. Most heavy equipment operators get trained on the job.

A number of schools have come up in different parts of the country to cater to the educational needs for a career as a heavy equipment operator. These courses include basics of analytical and diagnostic techniques along with instructions for in-depth understanding of the principles of electronics. To cater to the demanding nature of the job, such courses also have a strong practical and hands-on training profile.

There are several sub-categories in the job of a heavy equipment operator, such as mechanics, repairers, collision repair technicians etc. Some of these require a certification, which is renewable every five years.

Apart from the educational requirements the most essential criterion of eligibility is possession of a CDL or commercial driver’s license. If you possess any experience in driving some type of construction machinery, trucks and tractors etc. it is an added advantage for employment. Other desirable attributes for employment include the ability to judge distances, work in a team, to be open to new ideas and suggestions for improvement, be ready for additional training and responsibility. Jobs as an apprentice are available for candidates having completed formal training programs in heavy equipment operations. However, salary for apprentices at best remains nominal for entry-level positions.

Heavy equipment operators are required to operate, maintain and adjust machines like excavators, bull dozers, loaders, shovels, heavy duty tippers, forklift trucks, graders, drilling machines, cranes, motor graders, asphalt pavers, vibratory road rollers, compactors, skid steer loaders, pipe layers, compactors, pile drivers etc. On junior operator levels the work consists of operating small equipment like small rubber tire loaders and monitoring equipment. Later on with greater experience moving on to heavier machines is possible. With ongoing training and promotions, it is possible to reach senior positions like foreman, trainer, safety officer, or superintendent.

The job prospects are quite good for heavy equipment operators. Nearly all towns and cities have manufacturing facilities and construction sites where heavy equipment operators need exist, so it is easy to relocate to a fresh location without much worry about finding a new job.
